Golden Globes rev up award season with Netflix in pole position

Hollywood's biggest stars gather on Jan. 5 for the glitzy Golden Globes, the first major awards show of a packed season that looks set to mark Netflix's coming-of-age in Tinseltown.
The celebrity-filled gala in Beverly Hills is billed as the most raucous event in the showbiz calendar, where success helps create buzz ahead of next month's Oscars.

Turkish cinema goes to Hollywood

The Hollywood Turkish Film Festival will be held on Sept. 20, 21 and 22 at the world famous Paramount Studios for the first time in Turkish cinema history. The event is supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Tourism General Directorate of Cinema in a bid to reunite Turkish cinema with the global market.

Hollywood voting rights to benefit Turkish filmmakers

Turkey now has voting power in Hollywood with Barbaros Tapan as the first-ever Turkish member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) that conducts the annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony.

Musical 'La La Land' leads Golden Globe nominations
