Volcano erupts again on Iceland peninsula
Icelandic police declared a state of emergency Saturday as lava spewed from a new volcanic fissure on the Reykjanes peninsula, the fourth eruption to hit the area since December.

The eruption was also recorded from a satellite, Maxar announced.
The intensity of the eruption has decreased since the dramatic scenes seen on Tuesday morning, although magma continues to seep from the volcano.
Iceland's Foreign Minister Bjarni Benediktsson said experts warned the eruption could last for months.

Strong earthquakes shake Icelandic volcano on red alert
Two strong earthquakes on Aug. 24 shook Iceland's largest volcano, which is on red alert for imminent risk of eruption, the Icelandic Met Office said.
A large explosion at the Bardarbunga volcano could signal a replay of the global travel chaos caused by the eruption of another Icelandic peak four years ago, which created a massive ash cloud across Europe.
