OCS closely cooperating with state authorities on Kosovo

BELGRADE - The Olympic Committee of Serbia (OCS) says that it is closely cooperating with the Serbian state authorities following information from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) about an official initiative by the unilaterally declared Republic of Kosovo for admission to full membership in the organisation.

The Olympic Flame lit again on Wednesday in Athens for the 2014 Youth Olympic Games to take place in Nanjing, China this August, as the weather at the Panathenaic Stadium was kind enough to ensure a glorious ceremony for the people attending, including several hundreds of schoolchildren.

Five Cities to Compete for Hosting 2022 Winter Olympics

Five cities have submitted their bids for hosting the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

The applicant cities are Oslo (Norway), Almaty (Kazakhstan), Lviv (Ukraine), Beijing (China), and Krakow (Poland).

The executive board of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will decide in July which cities will be accepted officially as Candidate Cities.
