The New Dates for the Postponed Tokyo Olympics to be Revealed this Week
The new dates for the postponed Tokyo Olympics will be revealed this week, organizers announced on Monday.
Organizing Committee Chairman Yoshiro Mori told reporters that options for hosting the Games in the spring and summer were being discussed and the decision by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is expected to be announced soon.

The Tokyo Olympics have been officially postponed until 2021.
The International Olympic Committee along with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and local organizers have decided that the Tokyo Games cannot go ahead as scheduled this year because of the coronavirus outbreak.

Tokyo Olympics postponed!
Such an epilogue was announced by International Olympic Committee member Dick Pound.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, such a decision will be made in the coming days and the biggest sporting event will take place in the summer of 2021, Pound noted.

Bora Stankovic passed away
Stankovic is one of the founders of BC Red Star, a Yugoslav national team player and the man who scored the first basketball points in the World Cup history.
Stankovic played for Red Star, Zeleznicar and Partizan during his playing career from 1946 to 1953, while he also served as coach in the BC Partizan.

IOC is endangering our health, Greek champion says, demanding a Tokyo 2020 'Plan B'
The International Olympic Committee is putting the health of elite athletes at risk by telling them to continue training for the Tokyo 2020 Games as the coronavirus rages, reigning Olympic pole vault champion Katerina Stefanidi told Reuters on Tuesday.
"There is no postponement, no cancellation. But it (the IOC) is putting us at risk," the Greek said in an exclusive interview.
Tokyo Games an opportunity for even stronger Greece-Japan ties
This coming July, Japan will host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo. To mark the commencement of this outstanding event, the Olympic Flame was lit on March 12 in Ancient Olympia and the handover ceremony will be held at the Panathenaic Stadium on March 19 in Athens. Over the following four months, the Flame will travel across Japan via the Torch Relay route.
Big crowds force HOC to suspend Olympic torch relay in Greece
The Hellenic Olympic Committee (HOC) decided to suspend the remainder of the Olympic Torch relay through the country to avoid attracting crowds because of coronavirus, it said on Friday.
But HOC said the opening leg of the relay in the southern Peloponnese town of Sparta attracted an "unexpectedly large crowd," forcing it to suspend the remaining stops.
