Initial Findings Suggest IS Behind Suruc Blast, Turkey's PM Davutoglu Says  

Initial findings suggest that Islamic State (IS) group is behind Monday's blast in the southeastern Turkish town of Suruc that killed at least 30 people,  Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has said.

"This is a terrorist attack by a suicide bomber. The target of this attack is Turkey," todayszaman.com quoted Davutoglu as saying at a news conference on Monday.

US warplanes have pushed back Islamic State fighters threatening Iraq key Haditha dam, witnesses have said.

Reuters quoted Sheik Ahmed Abu Risha, leader of a pro-Iraqi government paramilitary force in western Iraq, as saying Sunday's air strikes were very accurate and there was no collateral damage.

Jihadists seize last Syrian army post in Raqa: NGO

Jihadists from the Islamic State group have seized the Tabqa military airport, the last remaining Syrian army base in northern Raqa province, a monitoring group and state media said Aug. 24.
      
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said there were still clashes taking place on the outskirts of the airport, but that it was under control of the militants.
