Amnesty International accuses Israel of war crimes
The Israeli military committed war crimes during its Gaza offensive this summer and must be investigated, human rights monitor Amnesty International said on Dec. 9.
The destruction of four multi-story buildings during the last four days of the 50-day war were in breach of international humanitarian law, the group said in a report.

Israeli forces kill Palestinian along Gaza border
The Palestinian Health Ministry said Israeli forces shot dead a Palestinian in the northern Gaza Strip on Nov. 23, the first such fatality since a 50-day Gaza war ended in August. The Israeli military had no immediate comment.
The ministry identified the man as Fadel Mohammed Halawa, 32, and said he was shot by soldiers east of Jabalya refugee camp.
