Kosovo's Institute of Forensic Medicine began a new exhumation of a suspected war grave this week in the mountain village of Koshare/Kosare in the west of the country as the authorities stepped up efforts to find around the remaining missing persons from the 1998-99 war.

He used to be a police reservist in Vushtrri/Vucitrn, and was also a prison guard during the war, when he took part in the illegal detention of a large number of ethnic Albanian civilians at the nearby Smrekovnica detention centre from May to early June 1999.

PRISTINA - Kosovo's Special Prosecution Office on Thursday took over the investigation of the assassination of Kosovo Serb politician Oliver Ivanovic, Pristina-based Kalixo.com portal reported.

This was confirmed by Prosecutor Resat Milaku, who said the decision was due to the "complexity of the case."
