An unidentified person attacked a passerby with a knife in south London, according to a Scotland Yard tweet.
"We can confirm that the man shot by police at around 2pm today in #Streatham High Road has been pronounced dead,"
"The circumstances are being assessed; the incident has been declared as terrorist-related.", London's Metropolitan Police said on Twitter.

A man has been killed and another left fighting for life after a shooting in north west London.
Cops were called to reports of a man injured outside Queensbury Tube station shortly after 9pm.
He was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
A man in his twenties was taken to a north London hospital with gunshot wounds.

Police are investigating a suspicious substance at the British parliament in Westminster, with two people taken to hospital as a precaution, reported Reuters.
London City Airport reopens After World War Two bomb Removed from Thames
London's City Airport reopened and was operating as usual on Tuesday, the airport said, after a World War Two bomb which was found nearby was safely removed from the River Thames.
All flights to and from the airport were canceled on Monday after the half-tonne ordnance was found at the nearby George V Dock in east London, and a 200-metre exclusion zone was also put in place.
