Fire measures implemented for dozens of archaeological sites
The Culture Ministry says it has been implementing special preventive fire protection measures at more than 30 major archaeological sites since 2022.
Authorities revoke state of emergency in Rhodes
The state of emergency declared in Rhodes on July 20 following the destructive wildfires that ravaged the island for more than 10 says was lifted on Saturday, the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection announced.
Residents and visitors received a notifications from the emergency number 112 to return safely to their places of residence.

Rhodes blaze cannot be contained
The wildfire racing across the island of Rhodes for a week now had burned an estimated 34,200 hectares by Monday evening and rages on, uncontained.
On Monday, things took a turn for the worse as the fire tore past defenses and more evacuations were ordered, in the central and southern parts of the island.
