Moroccan Government

According to the Moroccan government, in just two days of storms in September, some areas received as much water as would typically fall in an entire year.

A notable example is the village of Tagounit, located 450 km south of Morocco’s capital, Rabat, where 100 millimeters of rain fell within 24 hours.

Commemoration events were held in various countries on July 15 - the fifth anniversary of the July 15, 2016 defeated coup when the FETÖ tried to oust the government in Turkey.

July 15 is now marked in Turkey as Democracy and National Unity Day, an annual national holiday.

Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will meet with officials from the Moroccan government in the capital city of Rabat on Wednesday.
Dendias will be meeting with his counterpart, Nasser Bourita, with the President of the House of Representatives, Habib El Malki, and with the President of the Moroccan government Saad Eddine El Othmani.

Chairman of the Romanian Senate Calin Popescu-Tariceanu will pay an official visit to Morocco, March 27-31, at the invitation of his Moroccan counterpart, Speaker of the House of Councillors Hakim Benchamach.

Boosting investment and Romanian business operators getting involved in projects developed by Morocco both at home and elsewhere in Africa were topics discussed by Romania's Foreign Minister Teodor Melescanu and Moroccan officials as part of an ongoing Moroccan tour.
