According to the Moroccan government, in just two days of storms in September, some areas received as much water as would typically fall in an entire year.
A notable example is the village of Tagounit, located 450 km south of Morocco’s capital, Rabat, where 100 millimeters of rain fell within 24 hours.

Greek FM Dendias visiting Morocco
Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will meet with officials from the Moroccan government in the capital city of Rabat on Wednesday.
Dendias will be meeting with his counterpart, Nasser Bourita, with the President of the House of Representatives, Habib El Malki, and with the President of the Moroccan government Saad Eddine El Othmani.
