Police arrest 10 alleged spies operating for foreign intels
Istanbul police have apprehended 10 individuals suspected of engaging in espionage activities on behalf of foreign intelligence services, the Interior Ministry reported on Feb. 22.
The arrests were the result of coordinated efforts between the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) and police.
Police arrest 147 suspects in nationwide ISIL crackdown
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has announced the arrest of 147 individuals in coordinated operations targeting ISIL across 33 provinces.
"For the peace, unity and solidarity of our beloved nation, we will not tolerate any of the terrorists," Yerlikaya said in a statement on Feb. 8.
Ankara expresses support for Gaza truce deal
Türkiye's top diplomat has voiced Ankara's endorsement for a new framework deal between Hamas and Israel which would bring about a new humanitarian pause and exchange of hostages.
