Solution for Tanjug to be in line with European practices
BELGRADE - Responding to the informal Group for Media Freedom, which had demanded that the Tanjug News Agency cease operations, Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said the best solution was being sought for the national news agency that would fulfil the public interest of the citizens to the largest extent.
"ARtfel" AGERPRES photo exhibition at Sutu Palace
AGERPRES National News Agency organises an "ARtfel" photography exhibition, which combines the photo reportage, the video documentary and enhanced reality.
The exhibition can be visited November 24 through December 10, at Sutu Palace — Bucharest Municipal Museum, and the opening will take place on Monday, 18:30 hrs.

Moves to Change Romanian News Agency Alarm Critics
A bill proposed by Romania's ruling Social Democrat Party to change the way the national public news agency, Agerpres, operates, could leave it vulnerable to political pressure, media freedom activists warned.
The Culture and Media Committee of the Romanian Senate on Wednesday passed the bill submitted by Culture Minister Lucian Romascanu and four other Social Democrat MPs.

Austrian Police Find 42 Migrants Crammed into Bulgarian-registered Van
Austrian police have stopped a Bulgarian-registerd van packed with 42 migrants, Press Association news agency reported on Sunday.
Police in Lower Austria province arrested the 37-year old Romanian driver of the vehicle.
Migrants said he had driven them from the Serbian-Hungarian border, according to the national news agency for the UK and Ireland .

AGERPRES National News Agency is the first news agency in Romania, as its history began on March 27, 1889, when then-Foreign Minister P. P. Carp signed the 'birth certificate' of the Telegraphic Agency of Romania.
