Banner reads: "Diamonds stronger than gold" [e.n. - AUR, meaning gold, is the Romanian-language acronym for the Alliance for the Union of Romanians, a right-wing parliamentary formation].

Noted names of the Romanian politics are opening the lists of candidates for the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies of the Bucharest electoral constituency. Some have done politics and are returning to this year's elections, others are members of the current Parliament and want a new term as a senator or deputy.

Former Independent Greeks (ANEL) MP Dimitris Kammenos said Monday he plans to join an alliance with other nationalist politicians in a bid to "fill the vacuum" on the right end of Greece's ideological spectrum.
