Belgrade wants Trepca put on dialogue agenda

BELGRADE -- Marko Djuric has said that the Serbian government was fully committed to finding a solution for Trepca during the talks between Belgrade and Pristina.

BELGRADE -- Marko Djuric has rejected as false the claims that the government is considering "accepting the loss of Trepca in exchange for compensation."

A vote in the Kosovo Assembly intended to partially privatise the Trepca mine complex, with the government of Kosovo holding the majority of the shares, was postponed just before the start of the parliamentary session on Monday.

The mine complex was Kosovo's most profitable conglomerate during the Yugoslav period before falling into disrepair.

Kosovo office chief meets with liaison officer

PRIŠTINA -- Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director Marko Đurić on Wednesday conferred with Belgrade's liaison officer in Priština Dejan Pavićević.

They met in Priština and talked about "projects of mutual interest for Serb and Albanian communities in the province," reported Tanjug.
