Stavros Theodorakis, the leader of centrist To Potami party, stated on Wednesday that he supports the efforts of the Greek government in its negotiations with the country's International creditors.

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will meet with outgoing President of the Republic Karolos Papoulias on Wednesday.

The meeting will take place at the Presidential Mansion at 12.00 pm (Athens time) in view of the Presidential Election to be held today at 19.30 in the Greek parliament.

It will be the first official meeting between the two leaders. Scheduled talks between the two were cancelled in October after Samaras called for a confidence vote.
