A man was stabbed twice in the head and neck by an unknown young man for reasons that are still unclear while he was enjoying the Sardine Festival in Preveza with his family.

Greek police are investigating a stabbing that occurred late Sunday during a sardine festival in the northwestern city of Preveza. 

The victim, who was attending the event with his family, was suddenly attacked by an unknown assailant described by witnesses as a young man. The attacker stabbed the victim twice in the head and neck in full view of hundreds of festival-goers.

Thanasis Danis, Mayor of Souli and a doctor, decided to contribute significantly to the strengthening of the National Health System (NHS), which is strained by staff shortages during shifts. In a gesture of both high symbolic and practical importance, Mr. Danis was at the Preveza hospital to take a shift.

A shooting incident occurred at about 3 a.m. on Sunday outside a nightclub in the northwestern Greek town of Preveza.

According to Preveza News, the incident involved three people and the altercation took place outside the club, resulting in a man opening fire on two brothers who suffered injuries.

One of the two brothers then beat up the shooter.
