Police raid suspected terrorist hideout in Sepolia

Counter-terrorism officers in Athens have raided what they believe to be a second hideout of an escaped convict and suspected member of an urban guerrilla group who was arrested on January 30 while on the run from prison. The suspect, identified as Yiannis Michalidis, had been convicted to 13 years in prison for an armed attack against police in 2015.

Terror group accomplice breaches release terms

Greek police on Friday were seeking a 27-year-old associate of Panagiota Roupa, a leading member of the Revolutionary Struggle guerrilla group, after she violated the terms of her conditional release, failing to report to her local police station.

Constantina Athanasopoulou had been arrested in January 2017 as an associate of Roupa, herself then a fugitive.

Terror suspect begins hunger, thirst strike in demand of transfer to Korydallos Prison

A 31-year-old man accused of being a member of leftist guerrilla group Revolutionary Struggle and of planning an imminent terrorist attack, announced on Tuesday morning that he is going on hunger and thirst strike in order to pressure authorities to remand him in custody at the Greek capital's Korydallos Prison.
