Canada Shooting 'Leaves Six Dead'

Five people have reportedly died in a shooting at a mosque in Quebec City, Canada, police say.

At least eight have been injured.  

Two people have been arrested.

The incident occurred at one of the two mosques operated by the Quebec Islamic Cultural Center. There were at least 40 people at the time of the incident, during evening prayers on Sunday. 

No Bomb on Board Turkish Plane Diverted to Canada

Canadian police have found no explosive device on board the Turkish Airlines plane flying from New York to Istanbul that was diverted to the Halifax Airport in Canada, officials say.

No "suspicions packages" were discovered as the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, according to an announcement by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for Nova Scotia.

Turkish Airlines flight lands after a bomb threat

A Turkish Airlines flight from New York to Istanbul was diverted to Halifax Stanfield International Airport, Canada, after a bomb threat.

After the emergency landing of the aircraft, Royal Canadian Mounted Police evacuated the aircraft carrying 256 passengers and crew members and started searching the aircraft for explosives.

Bomb Threat Diverts Turkish Plane to Canada

A Turkish Airlines flight en route to Turkey from New York has been diverted to Canada following a bomb threat, according to Canadian officials.

The bomb alert was received at 02:50 after the plane had taken off from the John F Kennedy International Airport, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police office for Nova Scotia said on Twitter.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) said the plane, with 256 passengers and crew, landed at Halifax Stanfield International Airport early Sunday after being alerted to the bomb threat.
