CHP head pledges to get Turkey out of 'troubling situation'

Turkish main opposition Republican People?s Party (CHP) leader Kemal K?l?çdaro?lu has assured people his party has been working extremely hard to resolve the troubling situation created after the ruling party lost its parliamentary majority in the June 7 general election, which has led to a considerable uncertainty in the country.

Bulgarian BSP, PES Leader Stanishev to head EP Energy Committee

Ruling Party leader and Party of European Socialists (PES) President Sergey Stanishev is to enter the Energy Committee at the European Parliament.

Bulgaria without Censorship (BwC) leader Nikolay Barekov, from the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) and GERB MEP Vladimir Uruchev are also due to join the Committee, the Bulgarian National Radio has reported.

Montenegro Local Elections Pose Test for Ruling Party

Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic has set May 25 as the date for local elections, which will be held in accordance with the new EU-backed electoral law.

Elections will duly take place in Podgorica, Bar, Bijelo Polje, Danilovgrad, Zabljak, Kolasin, Plav, Pluzine, Pljevlja, Rozaje Savnik and Gusinje, Vujanovic said.
