Third Night of Macedonia Protests Ends with Arrests, Injured Police

Two police officers were left injured in the third successive evening of demonstrations in Macedonia's capital Skopje that began over a controversial amnesty decision by the country's President.

Macedonian head of state Gjorge Ivanov on Tuesday halted all proceedings against politicians over the wiretapping scandal that rocked the country last year.

Two Mines Fall on Site of Russian Embassy Compound in Damascus, No One Injured

Two mines have fallen on the territory of the Russian embassy compound in Damascus on Tuesday, TASS reported.

No one was injured in the shelling that took place in the morning hours, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

One of the projectiles hit a sports ground, the other one fell on the roof of a residential building.

Russia informed Turkey about airstrike in Syria

Russia has informed Turkey about the airstrike launched in Syria on Sept. 30, a Russian Embassy official has stated.

"Today we informed the Turkish authorities about the military operation," Russian Embassy spokesperson Igor Mityakov told the Hürriyet Daily News, adding that notification was made through the embassy in Ankara.
