Bulgarian prosecutors have charged an official from a non-governmental organization with spying for Russia for allegedly supplying information that aimed to turn the Balkan country away from its pro-Western orientation, writes TIME. 

After repeated acts of vandalism against the monument of the Soviet Army, located in the center of the Austrian capital, the Vienna police installed cameras for constant video surveillance.

"In recent weeks, the monument has been scratched again by night, by unknown people," police spokesman Paul Aidenberger told the press.

Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Katrougalos has condemned a grenade attack on the Rusian consulate in Athens in the early hours of Friday, which caused minor damage and no injuries.

Moscow is said to be following developments following the arrest of Yevgeny Kalinin, described in media reports as a 52-year-old energy expert from Russia, at Athens International Airport on Thursday at the request of Ukrainian authorities.

The Embassy of Russia in Bulgaria published on its official Facebook page a comment from the site "Classa.bg", in which Bulgarians are called "imbeciles" and "morons". The commentary is in relation to a protest against the Christmas tree decorated in red in the center of Sofia, which is a gift from Moscow.

The Sofia District Court (SCC) imposed the smallest measure of custody - a petition to the 22-year-old man who was arrested on Thursday night for spraying on the Soviet army monument. The prosecutor's office accused him of hooliganism, demanded the court's permanent arrest and refused to negotiate with the defendant's defense to conclude an agreement, reports Dnevink. 

Sofia District Prosecutor's Office has ruled a 72-hour arrest of a young man detained for spray painting on the Soviet Army Monument in Sofia, reports Mediapool. 

The case is from Thursday before midnight when observers from the CCTV observation team noticed a person writing on the monument and immediately sending a team.
