Israel?s top diplomat has highly commended Turkey?s new Foreign Minister, Feridun Sinirlio?lu, as a chance for Turkey to have a high-skill diplomat as foreign minister, while seeming convinced of a positive change in the dynamics of Israel-Turkey relations, despite the fact of more visible differences in the last few years.

Turkey condemned and rejected a statement by the Arab League Secretary General Nabil al-Arabi on the Turkish military?s operations against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers? Party (PKK) positions in northern Iraq. 

Turkey and Israel currently share a common fate. General elections were held in Israel three months ago and a new coalition in the Knesset was only last month formed - and is still ?in flux.?

Turkey, on the other hand, held its own elections on June 7 and is currently in the phase of forming a coalition government.
