Russia?s recent violation of Turkey?s airspace has exposed the stark consequences of Turkey?s Syria policy, the Republican People?s Party (CHP) has said, while calling on the government to act with responsibility.

A deputy from the Republican People?s Party (CHP) has called on Turkey?s top cleric to resign unless the latter justifies a shortage of 23 million Turkish Liras in the Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) budget, daily Hürriyet has reported.

Due to the re-election on Nov. 1, parliament has gone into another recess after President Tayyip Erdo?an delivered his opening speech in a tense atmosphere at the general assembly.

?I dedicate this election manifesto to the youth,? said main opposition Republican People?s Party (CHP) Chair Kemal K?l?çdaro?lu on Sept. 30, addressing thousands at a party gathering in Ankara. Members of the party?s youth branch were placed on two sides of the stage where he was delivering his speech.
