Serbian and Montenegrin police

Almost seven years since negotiations started, Serbia and Montenegro have agreed to open six new border crossings and to sign an agreement on regional and international cross-border traffic.

According to the Interior Ministry documents, which BIRN has seen,  the two countries agreed to signed additional protocols on joint border checkings, to meet EU standards.

The conflict between Montenegrin criminal gangs will continue to endanger the population of neighbouring Serbia until their suspected members are denied entrance into the country, says a former Serbian deputy minister of police and lawyer, Bozo Prelevic.

BRUSSELS - The European Commission (EC) welcomes the arrest of Darko Saric, and expects an efficient trial in line with the European standards, it was released in Brussels on Tuesday.
