Serbia Confirms Death of Embassy Employees in Libya

"We are united in grief after the death of our compatriots... Their bodies will be brought to Serbia late on Monday," Vucic told a press conference Saturday.

Serbian PM blamed Ahmed Abashi, a Libyan smuggler, for the kidnapping of two Serbian embassy officials.

Vucic also called on the remaining 250 Serbs to leave Libya immediately.

One Serbian PKK sniper killed, another captured in Turkey's southeast

A Serbian sniper of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) was killed while another was captured alive, daily Vatan has reported, while claiming at least five other hit men are currently operating in southeastern Turkey. 

Reports indicate that a sniper of Serbian nationality was captured dead during an operation in southeastern ??rnak's Cizre province on Jan. 29. 

Turkish media: Serbian snipers fighting with Kurds

The Serbian embassy has reacted to reports in Turkish media about the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) allegedly using Serbian snipers "in terrorist attacks."

The embassy said it expects to receive official information about the allegations, adding that "Serbia is against its citizens engaging in foreign conflicts."

"IS did not kidnap Serbs, we have guarantees they're alive"

There is no information that Serbian embassy employees kidnapped in Libya are in the hands of Islamic State, a Ministry of Foreign Affairs official has said.

Veljko Odalovic spoke for state broadcaster RTS late on Thursday to say that Serbian authorities are in contact with those in Tripoli, "and are receiving guarantees from there that the kidnapped Serbians are alive."
