BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic said Friday he would be surprised if PM Aleksandar Vucic ran for president, adding that he would never be Vucic's electoral opponent.

BELGRADE - The Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) has officially submitted a proposed decision to set up a parliamentary inquiry committee to assess facts and circumstances related to the events during the electoral and post-electoral process and determine if there was pressure on state authorities or attempts to falsify the will of the people.

BELGRADE - Dragoljub Micunovic, who temporarily presides over the new Serbian parliament as the oldest MP, late on Friday adjourned its constitutive session until Monday.

The session began at 10 am Friday.

BELGRADE - The exact date of the new parliament's constitutive session is still unknown, but it will be held by June 4, the deadline set by the law, Serbian Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic said Tuesday.
