Fiscal Council: Deficit at half of planned level, fiscal trends excellent
BELGRADE - The total 2016 budget deficit could be half of the planned level - around 2 pct of GDP, Serbia's Fiscal Council said Monday, noting that fiscal trends in the first seven months of the year had been excellent.

Public debt reduced by EUR 300 million
Serbia's public debt was reduced by about EUR 300 million in the first three months of this year.
This is according to preliminary data on general government debt at the end of March quoted by Serbia's Fiscal Council (FS) in its latest monthly report.

Fiscal Council: Deficit at RSD 5.1bn in May
Serbia's Fiscal Council said on Monday that the state's general budget deficit amounted to RSD 5.1 billion in May.
This is "somewhat lower than expected, and significantly better than in the same month of 2014 when the deficit was higher by RSD 18 billion," it was said.

Fiscal Council president does not expect growth in 2015
BELGRADE -- President of Serbia's Fiscal Council Pavle Petrovic has said that he does believe Serbia will experience economic growth this year.
Petrovic told the state broadcaster RTS on Sunday that there were still no indicators to suggest that economic growth could occur in 2015.
