Vucic would win more votes than Nikolic - poll
If presidential elections were held in Serbia on Sunday Aleksandar Vucic would win the the first round with 53 percent of the vote.
This is according to the new Ipsos/Strategic Marketing poll, published by the daily Blic. It also showed that Tomislav Nikolic as the candidate of the ruling SNS party would receive 36 percent in the first round.

Leader of Greece's New Democracy party visits Serbia
Greece's opposition New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis has met with Serbian Prime Minister and ruling SNS party leader Aleksandar Vucic.
During the meeting in Belgrade on Tuesday, Mitsotakis "congratulated Vucic on the country's economic progress and fiscal consolidation," and also, "on always telling citizens the truth," Tanjug is reporting.
Ruling in minister's lawsuit against weekly by end of year
A hearing was held at the Higher Court in Belgrade on Tuesday in the case of Nebojsa Stefanovic's lawsuit against a Belgrade-based weekly.
The Serbian interior minister, who is also a high-ranking official of the ruling SNS party, has sued the weekly NIN, its editor-in-chief, Milan Culibrk, and Sandra Petrusic, one of its reporters, over an article published earlier this year.
SNS wins local elections in southeastern town
Serbia's ruling SNS party has taken 76 percent of all votes cast in the local elections held on Sunday in the town of Bela Palanka, southeastern Serbia.
President of the Municipal Election Commission Dragan Djuric announced this and said the party will have 24 councilors.

Serbian ruling party's EPP membership bid decision postponed
The leader of Croatia's HDZ party has confirmed that a decision on Serbia's ruling SNS party bid to join the EPP has been postponed.
But in a statement for the N1 broadcaster, Andrej Plenkovic denied this was done in order to help his HDZ win more right-wing votes in Croatia's early parliamentary elections on Sunday.
President gives Vucic mandate to put together new cabinet
President Tomislav Nikolic on Monday announced that he had given the mandate to form Serbia's new government to SNS party leader Aleksandar Vucic.
Vucic is currently at the helm of the country's caretaker government, that was elected in 2014.
Vucic receives U.S. ambassador, and Kerry's congratulations
The prime minister of Serbia's outgoing government, Aleksandar Vucic, on Thursday in Belgrade received U.S. Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott.
According to the government's website, Scott "congratulated him on the election victory (of his SNS party) and handed him congratulations by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry."
U.S. analysts: Serbians choose EU, reject Russia
The convincing victory of Aleksandar Vucic and his SNS party in the elections last Sunday was expected, American analysts believe.
They estimate that the result "shows a clear commitment of citizens of Serbia to the pro-EU path."

SNS wins two-thirds of votes cast in Kosovo
The SNS party won 67.09 percent of the votes in the Serbian parliamentary elections in Kosovo, the party announced based on 100 percent of ballots processed.
SNS official Marko Djuric, who also heads the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija, told reporters in Belgrade late on Monday that it was "a historic result for the SNS in Kosovo and Metohija."
