British warships will sail for the Black Sea in May amid rising tensions between Ukraine and Russia, the Sunday Times newspaper has reported.

The deployment is aimed at showing solidarity with Ukraine and Britain's NATO allies, the newspaper reported.

If Britain leaves the EU without an agreement, it will suffer from a shortage of fuels, food and medicines, the Sunday Times reported, citing Operation Yellowhammer, the cross-government study of the impact of a no-deal Brexit.

"Theresa May said she will present a new bold offer to lawmakers with an improved package of measures in a final attempt to get the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement Bill through parliament before she leaves office.", wrote Reuters, quoting an article in The Sunday Times newspaper.

More than half of Britons, or 51 percent, would vote to stay in the EU, and 41 percent would vote for leave of the country, according to a BMG study published in the Independent newspaper.

The British government appeared divided on July 30 over Brexit, with International Trade Secretary Liam Fox clashing with finance minister Philip Hammond over free movement of labor once the U.K. leaves the EU.

Fox said the cabinet had not agreed a deal on immigration once Britain is out of the European Union in March 2019.

British Prime Minister Theresa May said Oct. 2 that Britain would start the formal process for leaving the European Union by the end of March 2017.
Before now May has only said that Britain would not trigger Article 50 of the EU's Lisbon Treaty - which sets a maximum two-year clock ticking until a country's departure from the 28-member bloc - before the end of this year.

Several of the biggest fund managers based in London are drawing up plans to move trillions of pounds of assets and thousands of jobs outside of Britain should the country vote to leave the EU in a referendum due by the end of 2017, the Sunday Times said.
