Eight rescued after Turkish cargo ship sinks off Libya coast, five missing: Shipping company

The bodies of three members of a Turkish cargo ship have been retrieved and seven others were rescued after the ship sank a few miles off Libya's Misurata port on March 16. Rescue efforts for another three are ongoing, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

Inspections To Be Launched of Tunnels Along Lyulin, Hemus Highways

An inspection of all tunnels along the Lyulin and Hemus highways is about to be launched.

The examination will be carried out by a specialised unit for inspection. It will include experts from the Transport Ministry, the Interior Ministry, the Road Infrastructure Agency, as well as the University of Architecture.

Bulgaria's PM: No Violations at Some Ministries

Prime Minister Ognyan Gerdzhikov presented on Friday the results of the inspections of the ministries which he ordered at the first meeting of the caretaker cabinet.

The PM ordered the preparation of analytical reports on the state of the ministries with an emphasis on public procurement orders and steps to be taken in order to deal with possible violations.

Bulgaria to Relaunch Concession on Plovdiv Airport over Lack of Bidders

The Bulgarian government will launch a new procedure to grant a concession on the airport of Plovdiv, Bulgaria's second-largest city.

The 35-year concession announced earlier this year failed to attract any bidders.

Any new tender, however, will be carried out in line with EU requirements, allowing for a bigger number of investors to take part.
