There can be no denying that Bulgarian football has never been at a lower point. The nation hasn't qualified for a major football tournament since Euro 2004, and you have to go back a further six years for their last appearance at the FIFA World Cup.

Ljubljana – Slovenia beat Cyprus 2:1 in Ljubljana on Sunday to wrap up the qualifying campaign for the 2022 World Cup in the fourth spot in Group H. After a scoreless first half, Miha Zajc and Adam Gnezda Čerin scored for Slovenia to close the disappointing qualifiers on a winning note.

The first three half goals have helped Fenerbahçe secure an easy 3-0 win against Antwerp in the fourth match of the UEFA Europa League as the Yellow Canaries' captain targeted the president of the Greek team Olympiacos.
The Istanbul giant will meet next on Nov. 25.

Turkish side Fenerbahçe were held to a 2-2 draw by Antwerp on Oct. 21 in a Group D match of the Europa League.

Mbwana Samatta found an early goal for Antwerp in minute two at the Şükrü Saraçoğlu Stadium in Istanbul.

Fenerbahçe leveled the game with a goal by Enner Valencia in the 21st minute, but Valencia later missed a penalty shot in minute 37.

Turkey's Galatasaray marched to the 2021-22 UEFA Europa League group stage over a 2-1 win against Danish club Randers on Aug. 26.

Fenerbahçe will host Antalyaspor on Aug. 22 after grabbing a 1-0 victory over HJK Helsinki in a UEFA Europa League playoffs first leg match on Aug. 19.

Murska Sobota – Slovenian football champions Mura lost 1:3 (1:1) at home to Austrian Sturm Graz in the first leg of the play-off round of Europa League qualification. The only goal for Mura was scored by Žiga Škoflek in the third minute. The return leg will be played in Graz next Thursday.

Vilnius – Slovenian football champions Mura advanced to the play-off round of qualifying for the UEFA Europa League after beating Lithuanian champions Zalgiris 1:0 in the return leg in Vilnius on Thursday evening. In the last qualifying round, starting on 19 August, the club from Murska Sobota will play against Austria’s Sturm Graz.
