More than 20 earthquakes were recorded in the Aegean Sea on May 24, prior to the one that shook Bulgaria Saturday afternoon.
The quakes epicenter was about 440 km from Bulgaria's capital Sofia with a magnitude between 5.7 and 6.0 on the Richter scale.
