Singapore Airline offers pay to victims of severe turbulence
Singapore Airlines said on Tuesday it has offered $10,000 compensation to passengers who suffered minor injuries on a flight hit by violent turbulence last month and will discuss higher payouts with those more badly hurt.
Houston Airports Closed following Tropical Storm Harvey
The US Federal Aviation Administration has closed both Houston Intercontinental and Houston Hobby airports through at least 28 August, following heavy rains from tropical storm Harvey, according to Flight Global.
Direct Flights Sofia-New York to Be Launched in May
A direct flight Sofa-New York will be launched after a 16-year break.
The route will be serviced by airliner BH Air and the flights will be launched in early May, according to CEO of Sofia Airport Hristo Shterionov, as cited by Pressa daily.
Aircraft ? 330-200 will fly from Sofia to New York and Chicago without intermediate landing.

US airline inspectors arrive in Belgrade
BELGRADE - US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) inspectors arrived in Belgrade on Monday to see if Serbia meets the requirements of Category 1 of the FAA, which would allow direct flights to the US, the Ministry of Transport has told Tanjug.
