73rd anniversary of Novi Sad raid

NOVI SAD - The 73rd anniversary of the Novi Sad raid, when Hungarian fascists killed more than 1,300 Serbs, Jews and Roma in only 3 days in January 1942, was marked in Novi Sad on Friday.

Serbia's Justice Minister Nikola Selakovic and Autonomous Province of Vojvodina Parliament Speaker Istvan Pastor laid wreaths at the memorial called Family and dedicated to the victims of the raid.

Vojvodina assembly speaker satisfied with talks on govt

NOVI SAD- Vojvodina Ašembly Speaker Istvan Pastor stated that the Tuesday meeting of a part of political parties in the Vojvodina parliament was sučešful although it was not attended by the two central parties in the provincial government coalition, the Democratic Party (DS) and the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina (LSV).

Vojvodina voting system changed

NOVI SAD - Members of the Vojvodina Assembly adopted on Friday a draft amendment to the voting system, and in future the members of the provincial parliament will be appointed according to the proportional representation system, which is already being employed in the appointment of members of the Serbian parliament and councilors in local self-governments.

Close historical ties between Serbia and Slovakia

NOVI SAD - The international conference "Slovaks and Serbs - History and Present" is organized with an idea to further strengthen the historical ties between Serbia and Slovakia, Ana Tomanova Makanova, Vice-President of the Vojvodina Assembly and chair of the National Council of the Slovak national minority underlined Friday in Novi Sad.
