Turkish strikes 'neutralize' 37 more PKK members

Turkish security forces have "neutralized" 37 PKK members in northern Iraq and northern Syria, the Defense Ministry said on Oct. 28, as part of intensified operations in response to a recent terror attack in Ankara.

"We are determined, resolute, capable of eradicating terrorism at its source," the ministry said on X.

Turkish security forces have "neutralized" 15 PKK/YPG members in northern Syria near the Turkish border, the Defense Ministry announced on Oct. 27.

They were targeted in areas under Türkiye's Euphrates Shield and Peace Spring operations in northern Syria, the ministry said on X.

"Our operations will continue until the last terrorist is neutralized," the post read.

Clashes in eastern Syria stem from support to YPG: Ministry

The clashes that have recently erupted between the U.S.-backed PKK/YPG forces and Arab tribes in the eastern Syrian province of Deir el-Zour are foreseeable consequences of "some countries" supporting a terrorist organization to fight against the ISIL, the Turkish Defense Ministry has stated.

Two PKK/YPG terrorists caught on Syrian border

Two PKK/YPG members have been caught while trying to illegally cross into Türkiye from Syria, the Defense Ministry has announced.

In a post on its social media account, the ministry informed that the apprehended were members of the PKK/KCK and its Syrian offshoot, PYD/YPG.

"Our struggle for the security of our borders continues with determination," it added.

Türkiye summons French envoy over ‘awarding’ of YPG members

The Turkish Foreign Ministry summoned France's ambassador to Türkiye Herve Magro on March 27 and "strongly condemned" the French Senate for hosting the YPG and its female affiliate YPJ, diplomatic sources have said.

Ankara "does not accept" the hosting and awarding of the members of the YPG and YPJ with "medals of honor" by the French Senate, the Turkish officials told the envoy.
