Police detains 12 PKK terror suspects
Turkish police on Jan. 7 detained 12 PKK and DHKP-C terror suspects during a counter-terrorism operation in the western İzmir province.
The suspects were accused of spreading terrorist propaganda on social media platforms, said the source, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media.

Police remand district mayor in SE Turkey
Turkish police detained the mayor of a central district in Turkey's southeastern province of Diyarbakır and two members of the district assembly on Dec. 20.
Sur Mayor Filiz Buluttekin from the opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) stands accused of being a member of the PKK/YPG terrorist organization, making terrorist propaganda and insulting the Turkish state and nation.

US confirms PKK/YPG withdrawal from Turkish op area
U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo confirmed late on Oct. 23 that the PKK/YPG terror group had withdrawn from the area in northern Syria where Turkey has been conducting Operation Peace Spring.
