Three injured in attack on US embassy in Baghdad
At least three people were injured in a missile attack that struck the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, state-run Anadolu Agency cited an Iraqi police source as saying on Jan. 27.

US embassy in Baghdad hit by missiles
At least five katyusha rockets landed in the heavily fortified Green Zone in Iraq's capital, some of which directly struck the U.S. embassy, caretaker Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi said early on Jan. 27.

US dismisses Iraq request to work on a troop withdrawal plan
Iraq's caretaker prime minister asked Washington to work out a road map for an American troop withdrawal, but the U.S. State Department on Jan. 10 bluntly rejected the request, saying the two sides should instead talk about how to "recommit" to their partnership.
Protesters vacate US Embassy compound in Iraq
Iran-backed militias withdrew from the compound of the U.S. Embassy in Iraq, the Iraqi army said.
The protesters also dismantled their tents outside the Green Zone in Baghdad on the edge of the Tigris River, the Iraqi Ground Forces Command said in a written statement.
