The Egyptian president has called on allies in the Gulf to escalate the diplomatic row with Qatar to include Turkey, the New Arab reported.

Foreign Minister Mevlut Çavuşoğlu has met with the diplomatic envoys of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates in Ankara as part of efforts to solve an ongoing crisis between the Gulf States and Qatar.

The row over Qatar should be resolved before the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan toward the end of June, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said, according to Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
