Serbian officials have continued to hint that citizens will be given an opportunity to declare their views on any proposed settlement of the Kosovo issue.

Many believe a referendum is the most likely solution, as Serbia's constitution mentions Kosovo as part of the national territory.  

An incident occurred on Tuesday in Belgrade, during a session of the Serbian National Assembly's Committee on Administrative Issues.

Bosko Obradovic, who heads the group of people's deputies (members of the Serbian Assembly) from the opposition Dveri Movement, threw a computer mouse at the Committee's chairman, Aleksandar Martinovic of the ruling SNS.

BELGRADE - The Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) group in the parliament will unanimously back the proposal for Ana Brnabic to become the next PM, but its position is that the majority required to elect her must be ensured by other parties that were on the "Aleksandar Vucic - Serbia is Winning" electoral list, SNS whip Aleksandar Martinovic said Monday.

The head of the SNS group in the Serbian Assembly said on Monday this group will vote unanimously for Ana Brnabic to become Serbia's new prime minister.

Aleksandar Martinovic added that the SNS position is that the necessary majority must be provided by the parties that formed the pre-election coalition gathered around it, dubbed "Aleksandar Vucic - Serbia is Winning."

As the inauguration looms of Aleksandar Vucic as Serbia's new President, some of his statements as Prime Minister's will long be remembered for their angry and undiplomatic tone - as will his marathon press conferences and TV appearances.

MPs from Serbia's ruling Progressive Party, SNS, and the nationalist Serbian Radical Party, SRS, slated Ombudsman Sasa Jankovic during the parliamentary discussion of his report for 2015 on Wednesday, claiming he was not doing his job but was acting like a politician.

SNS official Aleksandar Martinovic on Friday announced that his party would file criminal complaints against a number of opposition leaders.

Vladimir Pavicevic, of the opposition Nova Stranka (New Party), told a Friday debate in parliament that the case of Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic's plagiarism of parts of his PhD thesis "could not be more obvious".
