Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will start a visit to Serbia on June 18, according to his Serbian counterpart, Ivica Dacic. The visit appeared timed to coincide with the end of the election campaign in the strongly pro-Russian country.

As he states for "Sputnik", as far as Russia is concerned, it is the first country that knows and demands that, when it comes to Kosovo, to act according to Resolution 1244, which remains in full force.

Russian Ambassador Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko and US Deputy Ambassador Gabriel Escobar answered the three same questions about the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue in their statements for "Vecernje Novosti".
The ambassadors emphasized that the solution must be found by two parties, with the help of international actors.

This is a clear message from European Commission to Serbia.
"Serbia can enter into agreements with other states or organizations prior to joining EU. However, in the perspective of negotiating accession, Serbia has pledged to withdraw from all bilateral trade agreements on the day of EU accession", the Commission said.

Russian Ambassador to Serbia, Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko claims for "Vecernje novosti" that Washington "makes great efforts in waging its awkward ideological battle, putting to use its overt propagandistic machinery, no longer worrying about any arguments in support of its fabrications".

Newly appointed Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko said, adding that Russia will support "compromising and creative solution", agreed upon between Belgrade and Pristina, which Russia could defend in the UN Security Council.

Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic arrived at Nis military quarters to see the new BRDM 2 (Boyevaya Razvedyvatenaya Dozornaya Mashina - Combat Reconnaissance/Patrol Vehicle) within the presentation of weapons and military equipment of the Serbian Armed Forces.
President Vucic thanked the Russian Federation and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko who is a Balkan expert, spoke to Vucic in the Serbian language and said that he was honored to be able to deliver letters of credit to the Serbian President.
He pointed out that he wants to work on further improvement of cooperation between Serbia and Russia, which is already at an extraordinary level.

Russia and Turkey are set to discuss the possibility of easing the visa regime for certain categories of Turkish citizens, particularly businessmen, a senior Russian diplomat stated.

BELGRADE - Russia is in touch with Belgrade over the escalation of situation between Serbia and Kosovo, Russian Foreign Ministry's Fourth European Department Director Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko told Sputnik.
