Russia Likely to End Gas Transit via Ukraine in 2019

It is very likely for Russia to renounce transportation of gas through the network of Ukraine, Russian Economy Minister Alexander Novak has said.

On Sunday Novak was quoted by news agency RIA as saying that Moscow would put all its effort in building the infrastructure of the so-called "Turkish Stream" gas project that is to pump gas to Turkey.

Tsipras to seek 'road map' during Russia visit

The aides of Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and Russian President Vladimir Putin, and the Greek and Russian embassies in Moscow and Athens, are feverishly preparing for a scheduled visit by Tsipras to the Russian capital on April 8 and 9 which the Greek government hopes will serve to significantly upgrade bilateral ties.

Greek energy minister Lafazanis to meet with Gazprom's Miller

On Monday the SYRIZA Minister of Energy Panagiotis Lafazanis will meet with his Russian counterpart Alexander Novak in order to discuss energy issues, while focusing on energy relations between the two countries.

During his visit in Russia, Lafazanis will also meet with powerful Gazprom chief Alexey Miller.

Gazprom, Botas Map Out Turkish Stream Route

Gazprom's CEO Alexey Miller and Turkey's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz have discussed the details over the launch of Turkish Stream.

''We have identified and put on the map also the on-ground passage of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline for further exploration and projecting," Miller said, as quoted by TASS information agency.

Talks over gas discount with Russia promising, says Turkish minister

Negotiations with Russia over a discount in the price of natural gas via a new gas pipeline to Turkey "look promising," Turkish Energy Minister Taner Y?ld?z said late on Jan. 27.

Y?ld?z told private broadcaster NTV that two previous meetings were "not successful," but ongoing talks with Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller were more promising.

Russian FM: `They Played Around With Us For South Stream`

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced at his annual press conference on Wednesday that Moscow relies on the fact that the Turkish Stream project will be realized, which will allow for the strengthening of energy security in Europe.

Lavrov stated that the issue with South Streamis concluded, TASS news agency reports.

Bulgaria 'Not Losing' over South Stream Demise

South Stream Bulgaria head Dimitar Gogov has downplayed recent comments that Sofia would suffer thousands of millions of BGN in losses after the gas pipeline project was suspended last week.

Gogov told private national channel bTV projected revenues would be EUR 448 M if South Stream had not been abandoned, but added the sum was not the country's profit, but general cash flow.
