BRUSSELS - A new round of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue at chief negotiators level will take place in Brussels on Tuesday.

Belgrade will be represented by the head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic.

BRUSSELS - A new meeting of the chief negotiators of Belgrade and Pristina will be held in Brussels on December 17 to discuss a series of issues, including implementation of an agreement on the path to normalisation of relations, European Commission Spokesperson Anitta Hipper announced on Tuesday.

The European Commission reiterated its commitment to combating discrimination, inequality, and the challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community in response to a new law in Bulgaria that bans the promotion of "non-traditional sexual orientation" and the "determination of gender identity other than biological" in schools.

"The murder of Aleksei Petrov should not be confused with the admission of Bulgaria to Schengen, which has its own trajectory and clear rules" - this is how the spokeswoman of the European Commission, Anitta Hipper, answered a question about how this case will affect the accession of Bulgaria to the area of free movement.

The European Commission and the European Chief Prosecutor Laura Kovesi condemned the attempted assassination of Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev. The two institutions expect the Bulgarian authorities to take all necessary measures and investigate the case and bring the guilty to justice.
