Police in Thessaloniki arrest two soccer fans during security checks
Police arrested two soccer fans during security checks prior to the soccer match between Aris and Asteras Tripolis at Thessaloniki's Kleanthis Vekelidis stadium on Sunday.
According to the police, a 37-year-old and a 19-year-old were apprehended because they were found in possession of a folding knife and pepper spray, respectively.
Great start for Panathinaikos, mediocre for PAOK and Aris
Panathinaikos returned after six years to the Champions League qualifiers with a victory on the road, while PAOK and Aris recorded draws in their opening games for the Conference League qualifying stages.

One of Serbia's top basketball coaches, Dusan Duda Ivkovic, has passed away aged 77, the president of Radnicki Belgrade BC Goran Kalinic told Sport Klub TV on Thursday.
Fans and colleagues across Europe have all expressed their sadness and appreciation for Ivkovic's life work.

Dušan "Duda" Ivković (29 October 1943 - 16 September 2021) was a Serbian professional basketball player and coach. He served as head coach of the senior Serbian national basketball team from 2008 to 2013, and of the senior Yugoslavian national basketball team, from 1987 (Serbia and Montenegro competed as the FR Yugoslavia national team following the breakup of Yugoslavia) to 1995.

Green triumph in the Eternal Derby
Panathinaikos ended on Sunday Olympiakos' unbeaten record in domestic competitions this year with a well crafted 2-1 win in the Derby of Eternal Rivals, though this has had little effect on the position of the Reds at the top of the table, with Aris also dropping points.

Lavrio does it again, this time at Aris
Lavrio continues to fly high, downing struggling Aris on Saturday, while Panathinaikos' game at PAOK on Sunday was postponed due to four Covid-19 cases in the Greens' roster.
Surprise package Lavrio improved to 10-4 thanks to its 94-89 result at Aris in its first ever win at the Nick Galis Hall of Thessaloniki. Lavrio has already beaten Panathinaikos and AEK this season.
