Russia says to ban agriculture, fruit, veg imports from Turkey

Russia will ban mainly imports of agricultural products, vegetables and fruits from Turkey and may expand its sanctions if needed, senior officials said at a government meeting on Nov. 30.

Moscow may delay the introduction of the food import restrictions for several weeks to ease inflationary pressure, said Arkady Dvorkovich, a deputy prime minister. 

Investigators '90 percent sure' bomb downed Russian flight in Egypt

Investigators of the Russian plane crash in Egypt are "90 percent sure" the noise heard in the final second of a cockpit recording was an explosion caused by a bomb, a member of the investigation team told Reuters Nov. 8, as countries increased their efforts to get their stranded citizens out of Egypt.

About 11,000 Russian tourists have been evacuated from Egypt over the past 24 hours in the aftermath of the deadly Russian plane crash, according to official data, TASS reported on Sunday.

"Today, the number will be even higher," the Russian news agency quoted  Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich as saying.

Russia won't comment on aid to Greece ahead of Tsipras visit

Greece is at an impasse in talks with its creditors to get more loans. Without the aid, it could default on a debt repayment of 1.6 billion euros ($1.8 billion) on June 30.

Russia's Gazprom Neft asks govt for financial help

Russia?s Gazprom Neft, the oil arm of gas producer Gazprom, has asked the government for 198 billion rubles ($3.3 billion) in financial aid, the daily Kommersant reported on March 6.

Ever since Moscow was hit by sanctions over the Ukraine crisis, Russian companies have struggled to raise financing because Western markets are largely closed to them.

Russia Bids Nemtsov Goodbye

The memorial service in honor of Russian opposition leader Boris Nemtsov started at 10 am Moscow time Tuesday.

Nemtsov was shot on February 27 in front of his girlfriend in the Russian capital, raising suspicions on ordered murder and the participation of the current Putin cabinet.
