Turkish warplanes hit PKK targets in northern Iraq
The Turkish military launched the airstrikes on the targets based on intelligence between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.
An ammunition depot and shelters in the Kandil Mountains were hit, killing a number of militants inside, said the source, who spoke anonymously due to restrictions on talking to media.

Health Ministry introduces regulation for pharmacy signboards
In its bid to prevent unfair competition, the ministry adopted a new regulation according to which pharmacies will be able to have lights only on the parts of the signboards where the word "pharmacy" is written. As part of its regulation, the ministry has also released a booklet describing the new standards for pharmacies.

A court in Istanbul remanded in custody Turkish Professor Mehmet Altan on Sept. 22 in connection with a probe into the Gülenist movement.
