Actor Gerard Depardieu selling art collection
French actor Gerard Depardieu, who is facing a series of sexual assault allegations, is to sell much of his art collection worth an estimated 3-5 million euros, his auctioneers announced on June 15.
The 74-year-old is at the center of an ongoing rape investigation and the press has recently reported on several new sexual misconduct allegations.

Emperor Septimius waiting for his missing head
Within the scope of the works carried out by the Culture and Tourism Ministry's General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums on the return of historical artifacts smuggled from Türkiye in the past, efforts are underway to return the head of the life-size bronze statue of Roman Emperor Septimius Severus from Denmark. The body of the statue has been returned from the U.S.

‘Thinker’ expected to reach up to 14 million euros
A cast of "The Thinker" by Auguste Rodin will be auctioned in Paris on June 30, expected to reach between 9 and 14 million euros ($10-$15 million), Christie's said on April 7.
One of the most iconic works of art in the world, it features a man resting his chin on his hand and was originally conceived as a representation of Italian author Dante.

Rodin sculpture scores record $20 million at auction in NY
Auguste Rodin's "Eternal springtime" marble sculpture of lovers fetched more than $20 million at auction on May 9, a record for the French sculptor, at Sotheby's in New York.
The work -- conceived by Rodin in 1884 and sculpted in 1901-1903 -- is just 31.5 inches wide by 26.25 inches tall (80 by 66.7 centimeters).

Five Monet paintings sell for $84 million in London
Five paintings by French impressionist Claude Monet, including his famous 1908 "Le Grand Canal" view of Venice, sold for a total of $84 million (73 million euros) in a London auction on Feb. 3.
"Le Grand Canal", a hazy blue-and-green view of the banks of the Italian city painted at the peak of Monet's career, sold for $35.6 million (31.4 million euros).
Rodin's The Thinker Exhibited in Bulgaria's National Art Gallery
The original of one of the most recognized sculptures of all time, The Thinker by Auguste Rodin, is already in Bulgaria's capital Sofia.
The National Art Gallery will host an exhibition of the renown French sculptor which will include 80 sculptures and 20 drawings some of which leave the Rodin museum in Paris for the first time, Bulgarian National Radio informs.
