Revision request filed as BiH Presidency fails to make decision

SARAJEVO - The Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Presidency on Thursday failed to make a decision on a request for a revision of a genocide lawsuit against Serbia after Bosniak member Bakir Izetbegovic walked out of the body's session.

Speaking to reporters, Izetbegovic reiterated there was no need to decide on the matter as the Presidency had already done so in 2004.

Lawmakers from Bosnia's two largest Serb-led parties boycotted Thursday's session in the state parliament because of what they described as a constitutional crisis over a proposed appeal against the 2007 judgment in Bosnia and Herzegovina's case against Serbia at the International Court of Justice.

SARAJEVO - The Bosniak member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency, Bakir Izetbegovic, on Wednesday urged Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic to reconsider his visit to Banjaluka for the January 9 Republika Srpska Day celebrations.

Dodik Party Emerges Victor in Bosnia Local Elections

While the final results of Sunday's Bosnian local elections are still coming in, the party led by Milorad Dodik, President of Republika Srpska, appears to have emerged the biggest winner.

According to the preliminary results, Dodik's Alliance of Independent Social Democrats, SNSD, won more than 30 mayoral posts in Republika Srpska, 11 more than in the previous elections in 2012.
