Consultations between the three members of Bosnia's Presidency have been held in Sarajevo, on ICJ's request to clarify the status of Sakib Softic.

Bosnian Serb lawmakers voted to impede state-level decision-making in response to attempts by Bosniak presidency member Bakir Izetbegovic to launch an appeal against the 2007 judgment that cleared Serbia of direct responsibility for genocide.

SARAJEVO - The Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Presidency on Thursday failed to make a decision on a request for a revision of a genocide lawsuit against Serbia after Bosniak member Bakir Izetbegovic walked out of the body's session.

Speaking to reporters, Izetbegovic reiterated there was no need to decide on the matter as the Presidency had already done so in 2004.

Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday filed a request for an appeal against the International Court of Justice's 2007 verdict which cleared the Serbian state of direct responsibility for genocide in Bosnia during the 1992-95 war.

Lawmakers from Bosnia's two largest Serb-led parties boycotted Thursday's session in the state parliament because of what they described as a constitutional crisis over a proposed appeal against the 2007 judgment in Bosnia and Herzegovina's case against Serbia at the International Court of Justice.

Bosniak leader Bakir Izetbegovic said experts will study the legal merits of an appeal against an International Court of Justice judgment that cleared Serbia of complicity in the Srebrenica genocide.

SARAJEVO - The Bosniak member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency, Bakir Izetbegovic, on Wednesday urged Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic to reconsider his visit to Banjaluka for the January 9 Republika Srpska Day celebrations.

"We have cold, official relations and they should remain that way," Bakir Izetbegovic said on Monday after an urgent session of the leadership of his Party of Democratic Action, SDA, which met to review the status of its coalition with the Alliance for Better Future, SBB, led by Fahrudin Radoncic.

While the final results of Sunday's Bosnian local elections are still coming in, the party led by Milorad Dodik, President of Republika Srpska, appears to have emerged the biggest winner.

According to the preliminary results, Dodik's Alliance of Independent Social Democrats, SNSD, won more than 30 mayoral posts in Republika Srpska, 11 more than in the previous elections in 2012.
