BIRMINGHAM - Serbia's Ana Ivanovic beat Czech Barbora Zahlavova Strycova 6-3 6-2 in the final of the WTA tournament in Birmingham on Sunday to take her first title at a grass court event.

This is Ivanovic's 14 title and third this year, following Oakland and Monterey.

This victory will push Ivanovic up to 13th spot in the WTA rankings next Monday.

BIRMINGHAM - Serbia's Ana Ivanovic defeated China's Shuai Zhang 6-2 6-2 in Birmingham on Saturday to reach the final of that WTA tournament.

Ivanovic has so far kept her performance at a high level in Birmingham and is on course to her first title on grass.
