PM Victor Ponta to be heard on March 11 in 'Referendum' criminal case

The High Court of Cassation and Justice (ICCJ, the Supreme Court of Romania - editor's note) has set for March 11 the following date of hearings in the 'Referendum' criminal case, when it decided to hear the witnesses proposed by the defence attorney, among whom Prime minister Victor Ponta.

CSAT: Romania to contribute nearly 200 troops, 50 police, gendarme officers to Afghanistan mission

Romania's Supreme Council for National Defence (CSAT) has decided that, depending on the NATO's final decision, Romania will contribute some 200 troops and 50 police and gendarme officers to the training, counselling and assistance mission in Afghanistan.
