Opposition leader Alexis Tsipras on Monday defended the economic record of his leftist administration, while accusing the conservative government of indulging in populism.

The mayor of Myconos, Constantinos Koukas, on Wednesday took legal action against former citizens' protection minister Nikos Toskas over a spike in crime on the popular holiday island. 

In a letter to Citizens' Protection Minister Nikos Toskas, the union of Hellenic Police officers (POASY) on Wednesday underlined its opposition to a government decision to boost security for notarial firms involved in controversial property foreclosures.
